NEW BRITISH FILM AND TV COMPANY RAISING FUNDS TO BUILD SLATE OF BRITISH MOVIES

A new British film and TV production company is aiming to raise an initial £500,000 by offering up to 5 million shares at 10p each under the terms of HMRC’s SEED EIS and EIS schemes. The Information Memorandum outlining the terms of the offer was launched publicly on 10th April 2023.

Old School Holdings Limited (“OSH Media”) intends to develop and produce new British film material for distribution across all platforms including cinema, TV, digital and mobile.

OSH Media is already providing film production services such as editing and soundtracking to the UK film industry and it will continue to provide those services to third parties, as well as servicing its own slate of films.

The company has developed a slate of films which it intends to fund over the coming years through a combination of profit arising from existing services; equity-based finance from further fundraises; third-party financial structures including tax incentives, pre-sales, film grants, sponsorship/product placement and negative pick-up deals.

The company’s slate includes:

  1. Old School tells the story of widowed Charlie Watts, an old school villain who’s just doing his best to go straight for the sake of his children…until someone messes with his family.
  2. Palma is based on true events during Spain’s notorious Time Share wars against the backdrop of the ’90s rave scene in this action-packed crime biopic.
  3. Typhoon Justice is a sweeping World War Two adventure drama based on the extraordinary true story of Belgian fighter ace Baron de Sélys-Longchamps.

Nevern Johns, Managing Director of OSH Media, said:  “This is the exciting first step towards our vision of building a powerful British film and TV company. By continuing to provide film production services ourselves, we will build our slate through a combination of profit and further investment.”

Adrian Wootton, chief executive of the British Film Commission and Film London, recently announced that: “We have embarked on a new golden age for film and TV, one that provides unrivalled opportunities for our industry, our economy and our communities to stimulate long-term job creation and prosperity for the whole of UK.”
